My undergraduate was in Commerce: Accounting and Finance. Throughout my studies I have been tutoring and mentoring students and professionals on a range of subject areas from primary through to university courses. My experience extends to Business English, Computing and various accounting software including MYOB, Quickbooks and Reckon Elite.
As a former Geologist, I have a passion for maths, science and the humanities and feel priviledged to have the opportunity to educate and inspire young minds. Tutoring for me forms part of a wider goal of becoming a teacher in 2018, as I am in the process of completing a Graduate Diploma of Education (Senior). I am therefore focused on helping students to achieve not only a better conceptual understanding in their subject areas, but also provide them with long-lasting, effective study skills. On a personal note, I am approachable, patient and dedicated.
I love all things creative and am passionate about language. I love writing and speak fluent German!
I have completed a post-graduate diploma of education to complement my bachelor of science with a major in applied mathematics. I enjoy learning maths, physics and chemistry with a little bit of biology and I really enjoy helping others to see them as interesting and, believe it or not, exciting subjects. Although often seen as; you can either do maths and science, or you can't, I believe that anyone can excel in these areas.
I'm a passionate, enthusiastic student in my first year at QUT, studying a dual degree in Business (Marketing) and Journalism. I have always been interested in English and the Humanities, and I hope to share my love for these subject areas with my students. It's often a challenge to know where to begin with a subject that doesn't come naturally to you, or when it seems like there's simply too much content to learn, but I pride myself on my ability to break down this perceived mountain of work into manageable chunks. My aim is to help all students unlock their learning potential and to feel proud of their academic progress.
Hi, I'm Angel! I love being able to help students through the challenges of school and share my own knowledge, passion for learning and experiences with others. I'm a firm believer that every one learns in different ways and at different levels; thus, finding a personalised method of learning, based on open communication and a trusting, warm partnership between student and teacher is key. I understand the pressures of school and genuinely love helping others through this by building on their existing knowledge and skills, providing study techniques, planning for assessment and improving your own ability to independently learn.
I have a passion and aptitude for science that I love to share with others. After just over 2 years as a tutor I have found it to be one of the most rewarding things I have done. I particularly enjoy helping students to exceed their own expectations about their maths and science studies and to develop confidence in their abilities.
I have a passion for the humanities and love to help my students understand how they can improve the skills required in studying English, History or related fields, such as critical thinking, analytical skills, and creative and analytical writing. As a high-achieving university graduate in the field of English Literature I have the skills to help students prepare for university standards of work. My tutoring style is to work with each individual student to tailor sessions to their learning style, and focus on improving any weaknesses (in the humanities, this may mean focusing on creative/analytical skills, structuring essays, understanding content, strategies for studying etc). I look forward to working with any new students.
I am an outgoing student studying Civil Engineering at University of Queensland while residing at St. John's College. I am a hard worker who is looking to help out younger students through a vital part of there upbringing. I am a positive, encouraging person who has had various jobs working with children and helping them through school work and co-curricular activities. These include coaching children from 3-15 yr old, tutoring of my two younger brothers as well as mates at school and in university.
