My undergraduate was in Commerce: Accounting and Finance. Throughout my studies I have been tutoring and mentoring students and professionals on a range of subject areas from primary through to university courses. My experience extends to Business English, Computing and various accounting software including MYOB, Quickbooks and Reckon Elite.
I love all things creative and am passionate about language. I love writing and speak fluent German!
I have completed a post-graduate diploma of education to complement my bachelor of science with a major in applied mathematics. I enjoy learning maths, physics and chemistry with a little bit of biology and I really enjoy helping others to see them as interesting and, believe it or not, exciting subjects. Although often seen as; you can either do maths and science, or you can't, I believe that anyone can excel in these areas.
I have a passion and aptitude for science that I love to share with others. After just over 2 years as a tutor I have found it to be one of the most rewarding things I have done. I particularly enjoy helping students to exceed their own expectations about their maths and science studies and to develop confidence in their abilities.
I am a mature and dedicated young woman who has loved school and learning since I started. I am currently studying Forensic Science and Criminology at Griffith University. Always having had a positive approach towards school and study, I would hope I could influence any students towards the same mindset – that a little hard work and effort is very rewarding, as I have learnt through personal experience.
I started a Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Queensland this year because I wanted to be in a hands-on career that would help people. This pointed towards dentistry; but it also refers to education. So, as a bonus, I want to help students make the most out of their education and achieve their very best. I believe every student can achieve exceptional results by finding their correct learning style and I am determined to assist in developing the work ethic of this next great student.
I'm a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy student, and previously a science student, at the University of Queensland with years of experience in tutoring. Within my own studies I value organisation and understanding, as I find this allows for far more efficient learning, and a firmer grasp on topics than simply continuously reiterating information. I incorporate this into my tutoring, doing my best to ensure that my students not only learn the basics of the subject matter, but understand its place in past and future related topics. I have found that this minimises knowledge gaps.
