Hi, I'm Aimee! I've recently moved to Adelaide from country Victoria after completing my second degree. I have previous tutoring experience as I was a Student Academic Leader and Peer Assisted Study Session Leader for Federation University Australia. I am passionate about students discovering the best method for them to learn, from verbal learning to drawing subject content on the whiteboard! Whatever method works, I am excited to support students and witness them become enthusiastic about their learning!
My undergraduate was in Commerce: Accounting and Finance. Throughout my studies I have been tutoring and mentoring students and professionals on a range of subject areas from primary through to university courses. My experience extends to Business English, Computing and various accounting software including MYOB, Quickbooks and Reckon Elite.
I feel it necessary to build a relationship with the person I am tutoring so they feel comfortable around me and hence feel easy when asking questions and getting help from me. Furthermore, i feel that confidence and having a good relationship means that I can help even after hours via messaging me questions and I can help them even after the tutoring session ends.
My educational experiences have firmly fixed my belief in the importance of positive role models influencing the lives of young people. I believe that knowledge and personal development that is cultivated will enable young people to look at the world from an informed perspective and make positive contributions to society. I enjoy being a part of this process.
My personal tuition style is quiet and supportive. I have taught people of all age ranges and different abilities. I believe that being positive is the key to achieving good results. My personality is strong and encouraging. I write regularly and my passion for writing and speaking is reflected in my hobbies, which include comedy and panel speaking.
